The members of this forum work routinely with asylum seekers and refugees in a range of clinical settings including Primary Health Care, Community Mental Health Teams and specialist services.
The main aims of the group are to provide psychologists who have an interest in working with asylum seekers and refugees or who specialise in this work, to exchange knowledge, ideas, policies and models of good practice.
This is also a forum where issues that impede our work can be discussed. This may lead to joint responses on certain pertinent issues in areas in which we feel we have the expertise to comment. The Forum is dedicated to the dissemination of good practice to others and to documenting current ways of working.
A Yahoo! email group connects members of PsyRAS.
If you are a psychologist engaged in this work you would be very welcome to join us. We meet roughly every two months in central London.
